On Tuesday April 9th Karin Isenberg will be demoing how to glaze in watercolour.
Karin has been painting for over thirty years. Experimentation led to the development of layering transparent
and semi-transparent colour creating luminosity and a rich depth of
colour in her work. Glazing many layers brings form and shape to her
work. Light shining through, reflecting colours and developing distinct
shadows are also main elements in the work. Realism is her desired
result but always leaving room for heightened colour expression and
light.
Karin enjoys bringing the viewer up close
and personal to see the everyday larger than life. She sees how everyday
items have personal meanings to all of us. She sets her objects and
materials in a way that makes a bold composition, a statement.
Karin Is an elected member of the Canadian Society of Painters in Watercolour (CSPWC) and
the Ontario Society of Artists (OSA).
see you all at the Langstaff community Centre at 7pm on Tuesday
